Core Business
Our focus is knowledge-intensive organisations. We work with individuals, teams, large groups and whole organisations to help them develop their key competitive advantage - the creation and application of knowledge in new and innovative ways.
Individuals
We work with professional, academic, research and technical specialists to enable them become more effective as team leaders and managers. We do this by building awareness of their own capabilities with our team leadership development program and assessing their own effectiveness. Our Team Leadership Development program provides experiential learning opportunities, coaching and skills development for personal growth. We also offer structured processes to assist individuals facing major career transitions.
Teams
We provide useful and easily applied tools and techniques to enable team leaders and members to build real synergies by sharing their tacit and explicit knowledge. We help new teams, particularly multi-functional and multi-disciplinary teams get started.

We developed and administer the Knowledge Team Effectiveness Profile (KTEP) to help teams understand and assess their current performance. We provide practical suggestions for improving performance and more effective teamwork based on concrete data generated by team members. KTEP is based on original research on knowledge and R&D teams and extensive experience in working with teams in real time.

We provide training and accreditation programs to enable facilitators and team leaders to use our methods effectively.

Whole Organisations and Large Groups
We design and facilitate interactive processes to gain widespread commitment to major changes in the strategic direction of groups and organisations. We have particular expertise in the development of collaborative relationships between different functional and disciplinary groups within organisations and across organisational boundaries. We also assist organisations with talent management and succession planning.

We conduct our own research to build valid and reliable survey techniques to provide accurate diagnoses of our clients' issues. We are continually learning from our clients and adapting our approaches to add the greatest possible value to our consulting relationship.

Experience
We have worked with scientific research organisations, universities, professional consulting firms, the business and financial sector and public utilities in Australia and internationally. Increasingly, our work involves helping teams that cross traditional organisational boundaries such as multi disciplinary and multi functional project teams to become effective and productive. We use new technologies including web based systems to provide the greatest flexibility for our clients.

Qualifications

Our formal, academic qualifications are in the areas of Business Management, Public Policy, Psychology and Sociology (Organisational Culture). We are accredited in the use of the Team Management Profile, the Belbin Team Role Inventory, the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Leadership Styles Inventory (LSI), the Leadership Effectiveness Analysis (LEA) and a range of other psychological and sociological instruments and questionnaires. We also design surveys and questionnaires for client-specific purposes.
